We designed the Weymouth College Prospectus by involving every department and using real students. The students even had a hand in the design process.
The previous prospectuses were done ‘in-house’ and were of a poor standard. There was no investment in this ‘asset’. Our job was to Showcase Weymouth College as a leading college with outstanding facilities and industry links, especially after the legacy of the 2012 Olympic games. We created the prospectus using real students, colour coded each section and created a ‘typface style’ throughout. We capitalised on our links with team GB sailing and rowing teams. We also placed a heavier emphasis on community and industry links. We used inspiring quotations from business and sporting heros to compliment our layouts. The results were a striking prospectus, highlighting Weymouth’s college strengths. A prospectus that the students, teaching staff and stakeholders were proud, rather than apologetic of.
